I get completely caught up in it but

酔う = drunk/sick/lost in
My interpretation is:
"I get completely caught up in it but
The exercise felt good"
Another thing way it could be interpreted is:
"I get sick in the middle of it but
The exercise felt good"
That seems like a contradiction though so I think, but I'm far from certain that it's the top one.
I'm gonna go with your first one...certainly makes more sense than what I said. XD
